TWO STAR HOTELS IN COORG

Nestled away in the misty Western Ghats, Coorg or Kodagu is one of the most popular hill stations in Karnataka. This beautiful place is known for its numerous spice, coffee, and rice plantations. The Kodavas were the earliest known people who lived in these hills and their unique culture still lasts today. Coorg is well connected to neighbouring towns with good road connectivity and bus services run by private-run and KSRTC buses. The closest important airport is Mangalore International Airport, about 140 km away, while the closest rail hubs are Mangalore, Mysore and Hassan in the state. Considering that Coorg is such a popular tourist site, it is no surprise that there are a number of comfortable lodging options. For those looking for affordable lodging, one can choose 2-star hotels in Coorg. These hotels are located near affordable tourist attractions, the main KSRTC bus stand, and close to important roadways. These hotels are normally about two to four storeys high and are ideal for solo travellers, couples, and families. Two-star hotels in Coorg provide basic rooms that are clean and well-maintained. They do not have an in-house restaurant but don’t worry as you can choose to eat in plenty of eateries around the the hotel. One of the most important things to remember is that public access to these hotels are restricted at certain hours. Kodagu is well known for its rich wildlife and boasts one national park and three sanctuaries, namely Nagarhole National Park, Talakaveri, Pushpagiri and Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuaries. The animals found here include the elephants, tigers, Indian gaur, leopards, tigers, and more. The famous River Kaveri originates at Talakaveri in these hills and boasts a temple dedicated to Lord Brahma on the banks of the river. Madikeri is the administrative capital and has a number of popular attractions, including Raja’s Seat, Mercara Fort, and St. Mark’s Church. Another major tourist attraction is the Tibetan Buddhist Golden Temple in Kushalnagar.
