Kothaguda is situated in the Mulugu Constituency of Warangal district of Telangana in India. It has a lot of historical significance. Before Independence, the administrative unit of Narsampet was officially known as Pakhal Taluka because of its proximity to the area's lifeline - the Pakhal lake, largest lake in the region built by the Kakatiya rulers.
